Includes unlimited streaming via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

You will also get a chance to see a few more of my original lyrics to a few more of my numbers, and possibly, this album might appear in my original movie soundtrack to either a off-Broadway musical of mine, which has lots of Latin dancing, as a work in progress, or maybe even an original screenplay related to it. I am even willing to demonstrate the dances depicted in the album from the rumba to the flamenco to the cha-cha, if need to.

VERSE 1 Oh, yes in Puerto Rico there is a trance, Just like merengue, and it's called the plena dance; Those bailadores and "musicos" wear white All over this island nation with this lively sight.... CHORUS 1 They're drummin' and dancing.... (Yes, they're doin' the plena dance!) This reminds me of Samson! (Yes, they're doin' the plena dance!) They're drummin' and dancing.... (Yes, they're doin' the plena dance!) This reminds me of Samson! (Yes, they're doin' the plena dance!) VERSE 2 This dance is often used in their labor strikes And rallies and demonstrations just like movin' bikes.. That pedal with Latin spirit and country pride; The bongos and congas echo loud with rhythm's stride! CHORUS 2 Hail to those pleneros... (Yes, they're doin' the plena dance!) And also the pleneras.... (Yes, they're doin' the plena dance!) Hail to those pleneros... (Yes, they're doin' the plena dance!) And also the pleneras.... (Yes, they're doin' the plena dance!) SPECIAL CHORUS To all the Boricuos and the Boricuas there... (Bailamos la plena, la plena linda, hast'el anochecer!) To all the Boricuos and the Boricuas there... (Bailamos la plena, la plena linda, hast'el anochecer!) To all the Boricuos and the Boricuas there... (Bailamos la plena, la plena linda, hast'el anochecer!) To all the Boricuos and the Boricuas there... (Bailamos la plena, la plena linda, hast'el anochecer!)

Time to samba! It is time to samba! A shake-a, shake-a, shake-a, a shimmy shimmy shimmy.... The samba covers all of us in fire! Time to samba! It is time to samba! It's lovely, lovely, lovely, its rhythm, rhythm, rhythm, A Latin dance that we can all inspire! Time to samba! Time to samba! Just like a swarm of bees, it stings us gladly With syncopated beats that hit you! Yes, hit you, like slappin'! And then we "botafogo" and we "volta", and show ya - this dancin' Samba is there for the clappin'! (Short Instrumental break) Yes, samba has syncopated beats that hit you! Yes, hit you, like slappin'! And then we "botafogo" and we "volta", and show ya - this dancin' And we will show all the world that the samba is our love! It is our love! Yea! It is the time to samba, the time to samba, the time to samba.. Yea!

about

This album is dedicated to some of my newer original compositions that pay homage to the world of Latin dance music. Most of the Latin music of mine that is covered in the album is related either to ballroom dance (rumba, cha-cha, samba, paso doble, bolero), and Latin club dancing (like merengue and salsa). One track, "A Roma Flamenco Party Dance", covers the Spanish dance that had inspired the ballroom paso doble - the gypsy dance of the Roma people, known nowadays as the flamenco.

All of the Latin numbers were composed out and were realized using either the Finale Music Notation system or the Master Tracks Pro sequencer along with the Kurzweil PC-88 synth, or both.
